DENVER ?“ Boise State?™s Katie Street has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Month.
Street, a junior from Federal Way, Wash., won only the 10th individual title in Boise State women?™s golf history after posting a three-round total of 223 (+10) at the Wolf Pack Invitational, Sept. 28. The tournament victory moves Street into sole possession of seventh place on the Bronco all-time record list for career top 25 finishes. Street led wire-to-wire, opening the tournament with a 73 (+2).
She moved four strokes ahead of Jenelle Gomez of San Jose State in the second round after posting a 1-over 72, the lowest round of the tournament. She closed out the tournament with a 78 (+7), holding off Gomez by one stroke. So far this fall, Street owns a 76 stroke average with a low of 72.
