DENVER ?“ Nevada?™s Kim Kabesh has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference women?™s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.
Kabesh, a senior from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, won three individual events and swam on the Wolf Pack?™s second place 200-yard medley relay team in Nevada?™s dual with UC Davis. She won the 100, and 200-yard butterfly, along with the 100-yard breaststroke. Competing in the Pacific Tiger Invitational, she had five top 20 finishes which included a pair of top 10 individual placings, and a third as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay. Her highest individual finish was fourth in the 200-yard butterfly, while her other top 10 was eighth in the 100-yard butterfly. As a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay, she helped the squad to a fourth place finish. Kabesh?™s additional finishes at the invitational were 15th in the 500-yard freestyle, 16th in the 200-yard freestyle, and 24th in the 100-yard freestyle.
