No. 7 Hawai`i clinched its 10th-straight WAC Title last week with wins over Utah State and San Jose State. The Rainbow Wahine will be the No. 1 seed in the WAC Tournament. The tournament will be Nov. 24-26 in Reno, Nev.
Hawai`i swept through the San Jose State Spartans (11-15, 6-8) 30-16, 30-18 and 30-17 in front of a crowd of 745 at Spartan Gym Saturday, running their WAC winning streak to 105 matches.
Juliana Sanders led the charge, hitting .800 with 12 kills and six blocks. Tara Hittle led all players with 15 kills, while hitting .467 with seven digs. Jamie Houston hit .500 with eight kills and six blocks shile Victoria Prince had eight kills, three blocks and five aces in just two games while hitting .462. Kanoe Kamana`o ended the night with 48 assists, seven digs and three blocks while Ashley Watanabe had 14 digs.
The Rainbow Wahine hit .516 as a team, and went the entire match without being blocked for the first time since Oct. 16, 2000.
In other WAC Action
Nevada(16-10, 10-5 WAC) dominated Fresno State (7-18, 4-10 WAC) in its final WAC home match of the season at the Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nev. The Wolf Pack won in three games by scores of 30-13, 30-14, and 30-26 to improve to 16-10 on the season and 10-6 in the conference play. The Pack victory also avenged a 3-2 setback earlier this season in Fresno, Calif. to the Bulldogs. FS dropped to 7-18 on the year, and are 4-10 in WAC play.
Four Nevada players reached double figures in kills led by Salave`a's match high 14. Salave'a contributed 10 digs to post a double-double. Ericson totaled 11 kills while Carly Sorensen, and Erika Ryan finished with 10 each. Libero Christine Harms finished with a match high 24 digs and setter Tristin Johnson dished out a match high 43 assists.
Alison Pitton led Fresno State with eight kills and nine digs while setter Robyn Keune totaled 22 assists.
In her final home match as an Aggie, senior Sarah Silagy had a career night as the New Mexico State volleyball team beat the Utah State Aggies 3-1 (27-30, 30-26, 30-26, 30-26) in one of the most intense matches of the season, Saturday night at the Las Cruces High School Gym. The Aggies are now 19-5 overall and 11-4 in WAC play while holding sole possession of second place in the conference. Utah State falls to 17-11 on the season and 9-5 in conference play with the loss.
Silagy hammered a career high 20 kills in 32 attempts with only one error while hitting .594 on the night with three block assists. Two other Aggies also hit double figures in kills as Kim Oguh and Alice Borden each nailed 14. Defensively, Jordan Bostic paced the Aggies with 28 digs while setter Jackie Choi tallied 54 assists and nine digs.
Zuzana Cernianska led Utah State with 17 kills while three Aggies tallied double figures in digs.
Idaho defeated Boise State at Memorial Gym in front of 1,028 fans.s Game scores were 30-24, 30-15, 23-30 and 34-32.s The win improves Idaho?™s record to 14-13 overall, 6-8 in the WAC while Boise State falls to 6-16, 2-12 in conference.

The Vandals fell behind early in game one at 17-12 before they were able to climb back in and tie it at 21.s Eight consecutive points put the Vandals ahead at 27-21 and a block from Erin Curtis and Saxony Brown gave Idaho the 30-24 win.s The Vandals recorded 18 kills and five errors for a .302 hitting percentage in game one.
