DENVER ?“ Boise State?™s Graham De Laet has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Men?™s Golfer of the Month.
DeLaet, a senior from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, captured the individual title at the Boise State Bronco Invitational, Oct. 11. As the only golfer in the 80-player field finishing under-par, DeLaet won the tournament by one stroke after posting a three-round total of 212 (-1). DeLaet?™s opening round of 66 (-5) was a season low.
With the tournament victory, DeLaet has now won nine individual titles as a Bronco, five more than any Boise State golfer in school history. DeLaet finished in second with a three-round score of 212 (-4) at the Santa Clara Invitational. In five tournaments this season, he has finished in the top five four times, including tournament victories at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
Other men?™s nominees included: Jon Rosa, Fresno State; Pierre-Henri Soero, Hawai'i and Dustin Hall, Nevada.
