DENVER ?“ San Diego?™s Ashley Swart has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference women?™s Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week.
Swart, a senior from Honolulu, Hawaii, grabbed five first-place finishes at the Big West Shootout in Irvine, Calif. Swart won the 200 freestyle, 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley on the first day. She record a time of 1:51.70 in the 200 free, 2:16.77 in the breast and 4:20.66 in the 400 IM. She also grabbed gold in the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.65 and 200 breaststroke in 2:17.44, both on day two.
