DENVER ?“ Louisiana Tech forward Paul Millsap has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference men?™s basketball player of the week for December 12-18.
Millsap, a junior from Grambling, La. (Grambling HS), averaged 24.0 points and 16.0 rebounds in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of home wins last week. On Tuesday against Louisiana-Lafayette, Millsap scored 24 points and pulled down 19 rebounds. He also had 3 assists, two blocks and two steals. On Saturday night, he scored 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds against McNeese State for his seventh straight double-double. He added four blocks and three steals. For the week, he was 13-of-22 from the field and averaged 3.0 blocks and 2.5 steals. It is Millsap?™s fourth career WAC Player of the Week award and first for a Bulldog player this year.
