On Wednesday night, Louisiana Tech picked up a rare win at Texas Tech, 68-53. Prior to the game, Texas Tech had won 34 of its last 35 non-conference home games under head coach Bobby Knight. Junior forward Paul Millsap scored a season-high 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Marcus Elliott added 13 points while Michael Wilds grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with eight points. It was the 1,100th win in school history.
In other action from Wednesday, Fresno State?™s Quinton Hosley scored a game-high 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 75-60 home win over Cal State Northridge. Bulldog Kevin Bell added nine points and nine assists.
No. 17 Nevada improved to 6-0 after a 78-51 win over UC Davis. Marcelus Kemp led the Wolf Pack with 19 points while Mo Charlo added 12. Nevada heads to Anaheim this Saturday for a matchup with 16th-ranked UCLA in the Wooden Classic. The game will be shown on WGN at 2:30 p.m. (PT).
