Jermaine Blackburn scored a career-high 26 points on Saturday

WAC Highlights-Saturday Games

In the premier WAC matchup of the week, Nevada won at UTEP, 62-60, to take a two-game lead over the Miners in the WAC standings. The loss snapped a 13-game home winning streak for UTEP while Nevada improved to 6-0 in the WAC on the road. Nick Fazekas scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Wolf Pack while UTEPs Filiberto Rivera scored a game-high 18 points.

Rice won for the first time in eight trips to Tulsa, 71-64, in overtime. Michael Harris scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Owls. Rice was 10-of-10 from the free throw line in the overtime period.

Jermaine Blackburn scored a career-high 26 points in Boise States 82-68 win over Fresno State. Coby Karl added 15 points and a career-high eight assists for the Broncos who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Louisiana Tech won for the seventh time in eight games to move into third place in the WAC standings after a 72-55 victory over San Jose State. Paul Millsap notched his 15th double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Bryan Hopkins scored 27 points in SMUs 71-65 win over Hawaii. Eric Castro scored 10 points to become the 34th Mustang (and third this year) to reach 1,000 career points.
