SMU's Bryan Hopkins led all WAC scorers last night with 22 points |
Wednesday RecapsBryan Hopkins scored 22 points including 17 in the second half in
SMUs 73-70 win over Louisiana Tech. The Mustangs trailed by as many as 16 points in the game. Donell Allick and Wayne Powell each scored 21 points for the Bulldogs.
UTEP became the first WAC team to reach 20 wins on the season as Omar Thomas scored 19 points in the second half of the
Miners 70-62 come-from-behind win at San Jose State. Thomas, who did not play the first half due to a suspension, became the 27th UTEP player to score 1,000 points and the third to do it in only two seasons. Filiberto Rivera led the Miners with 21 points.
Dreike Bouldin scored 20 points off the bench and blocked a shot with two second left to help give
Fresno State a 71-69 win over Tulsa. The win moved the Bulldogs into a tie for third place in the WAC standings.
Nick Fazekas scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds in
Nevadas 73-58 win over Rice. The win was the fifth in a row for the Wolf Pack. Kevinn Pinkney added 17 for Nevada.
Hawaii scored 51 points in the second half of an
81-67 win over Boise State. Matt Gibson scored a game-high 21 points for the Rainbow Warriors while Boise States Coby Karl led the Broncos with 19 points. Hawaiis Julian Sensley left the game in the second half for precautionary reasons after hurting his knee.
