Saturday's Highlights
Nick Fazekas scored 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in
Nevadas 74-64 win over Vermont in a Bracket Buster Saturday game. The win gave the Wolf Pack their first back-to-back 20-win seasons in school history. It was also the sixth straight win for Nevada.
Tulsa defeated Northern Arizona, 79-64, behind freshman Brett McDades 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Tulsas Jarius Glenn added 17 points.
Coby Karl scored a career-high 22 points in
Boise States 80-66 win over Weber State. Karl hit six three-point field goals. Eric Lane and Franco Harris each added 16 points for the Broncos.
Fresno States Mustafa Al-Sayyad blocked a school-record 11 shots to go along with nine points and nine rebounds in the game against Buffalo. The Bulldogs leading scorer JaVance Coleman played just two minutes in the game due to a sore achilles.
Other top performances:
Rices Michael Harris scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds and tied a school-record with six blocked shots against Murray State. Hawaiis Matt Gibson scored a career-high 26 points against Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was 6-of-6 from three-point range in the contest. UTEPs Omar Thomas (21 points, 12 rebounds) and John Tofi (12 points, 12 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles against Pacific.
