Louisiana Tech won its fifth game in a row by
beating Fresno State on the road, 79-72. Paul Millsap recorded his 14th double-double of the season with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
Michael Harris notched his four straight double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds in
Rices 68-52 win against Boise State. Jason McKrieth added 15 points, eight rebounds and tied his career-high with five steals for the Owls. Rice hosts UTEP on Saturday at 9:05 p.m. (CT) in a game to be shown by ESPN2.
Nevada beat SMU, 73-59, behind a double-double by Nick Fazekas who had 23 points and 12 rebounds. Eric Castro led the Mustangs with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Bryan Hopkins returned from a wrist injury to score 20 points for SMU.
Last place Tulsa beat first place UTEP, 65-54, behind Jarius Glenns 18 points. Glenn also had a career-high eight assists, five rebounds and two steals. The Miners trailed by as many as 17 points before tying the game at 40. Filiberto Rivera led UTEP with 17 points.
Nevadas Nick Fazekas is the WACs leading scorer with 20.8 points per game. Louisiana Techs Paul Millsap leads the league in rebounding (11.8) while UTEPs Filiberto Rivera is tops in assists (6.7).
