DENVER Tulsa forward Jarius Glenn has been named the Western Athletic Conference mens basketball player of the week for January 31-February 6.

Glenn, a senior from Decatur, Ga. (Avondale HS), averaged 22.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals in wins over UTEP and Boise State. He had a game-high 18 points and eight assists in the win over the Miners who were tied for first in the WAC at the time of the game. Glenn then scored a game-high 27 points against Boise State on Saturday. For the week, he was 17-of-26 (.654) from the field, including 4-of-6 from three-point range, and also blocked three shots. The victories gave Tulsa its first two-game winning streak since January of 2004. It is Glenns first career WAC Player of the Week award and first for a Golden Hurricane player this year.

The other nominations were freshman forward Chris Berry, Fresno State; junior forward Julian Sensley, Hawaii; sophomore forward Paul Millsap, Louisiana Tech; sophomore forward Nick Fazekas, Nevada; and senior forward Omar Thomas, UTEP.
