Tulsa Advances to Women's Golf NCAA Championships

Laura Luethke
Fresno State
The Tulsa women's golf team qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships by finishing in a fifth-place tie at the NCAA Central Regional in Lubbock, Texas. The Hurricane carded the third best round of the day with a 12-over par 300 score at the par-72 Rawls Course for a 908 54-hole total. SMU, also competing in the Central Region, made a late push, but its wasn't enough, placing the Mustangs tied for 11th. Fresno State's Laura Luethke needed extra holes to determine her fate, but fell short on the second playoff hole, eliminating her bid for the NCAA Championship. Click Here for complete results.

The NCAA Championships finals will be held at Sunriver Resort on the Meadows Course, Sunriver, Oregon, hosted by Oregon State University and Sunriver Resort, May 17-20. Eight teams and two individuals from each region advanced.
