NORMAN, Okla. The United States Team has been named for the 2005 Fuji Xerox U.S.A. vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The 12-member squad will consist of eight mens and four womens collegiate players. The event will be held July 13-15 at Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif. Fresno State's Laura Luethke and SMU's Will Dodson were both named to the team.

Will Dodson of SMU, Travis Bertoni of Cal Poly, South Carolina-Aikens Dan Burkhart, Methodists Adam Horton, J.J. Killeen of TCU, Arizonas Henry Liaw, Shane Prante of St. Martins and Dukes Nathan Smith comprise the mens portion of the team. The womens team consists of Wake Forests Ashley Hoagland, Stacy Lewis of Arkansas,
Fresno States Laura Luethke and Annie Thurman-Young of Oklahoma State.
The 2004-05 season has been a banner campaign for Dodson, as the Tulsa native won WAC Championship medalist honors and was named Conference Golfer of the Year. He also qualified for the PGA's Nissan Open and finished 12th at the prestigious Western Refining All-America Golf Classic.
Luethke, the freshman from Clovis, Calif., won her first two collegiate tournaments in the fall and has been among the top 20 in the nation in strokes-per-round all season. She was named first-team all-WAC for the Bulldogs.
The U.S. team boasts five conference players of the year - Bertoni (Big West), Burkhart (Peach Belt), Dodson (WAC), Killeen (C-USA) and Thurman-Young (Big 12). Additionally, Bertoni, Burkhart, Dodson, Horton (USA South), Lewis (SEC) and Thurman-Young claimed their individual league title. Every member of Team USA earned all-conference honors.
Team USA leads all-time U.S.A. vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship series, 22-7, and has won nine-straight competitions.
