KOHLER, WISC. (SMU) - SMU golf standout Will Dodson has been named to the PING All-American team for the second straight season, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Friday. Dodson is the only Mustang golfer since Franklin Hatchett in 2002 to be named to the All-America team.

The junior was one of 61 golfers named to a PING All-American team, earning honorable mention honors. Dodson led SMU to its third straight NCAA Championship berth in Owlings Mills, Md. The Jenks, Okla., native was the conference medalist and golfer of the year in 2005, leading SMU to its second consecutive league title. Dodson was SMU's low scorer in eight of 14 tournaments. He finished the season with a stroke average of 72.0.
The first, second and third team were made up of 31 golfers total, while Dodson was one of 30 chosen to the honorable mention squad.
