WAC ENTERS NEW ERA
?“ The WAC is a nine-team league with the additions of Idaho, New Mexico State and Utah State following the departures of Rice, SMU, UTEP and Tulsa. It is the third time in conference history that the WAC will be comprised of nine teams (1980-91 and 2000).

BULLDOGS?™ SELLICK TAKES HOME TITLE ?“ In a tune up for the upcoming cross country season, two Fresno State Bulldogs led the way and made their mark as well at the 41st Annual Watermelon Run. The two-mile women?™s run saw freshman local product Roxanne Sellick capture the overall women?™s title with a time of 11:25, five seconds off the school?™s freshman record set by Mary Kuphaldt in 1986. Junior Zinzi Evans finished second overall with a time of 11:34.

WAC CHAMPIONSHIP ?“ The 2005 WAC Cross Country Championship travels to Boise, Idaho. This year?™s championships will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 at Eagle Island State Park. There will be two new team champions crowned with the departure of the Rice men and SMU women.

NCAA REGIONALS ?“ The 2005 Cross Country Regionals will be held at nine sites throughout the country. They will all be held Saturday, Nov. 12. WAC teams will be represented in three locations. The West Region will be held in Palo Alto, Calif (Stanford). The Mountain Region will be held in Provo, Utah (BYU), while Louisiana Tech will be the lone team in the South Central Regional (Baylor) in Waco, Texas.
