Nevada Ranked 25th in First Poll

Nevada is ranked 25th in the first USA Today/ESPN coaches poll released today.  The Wolf Pack were 27-6 last season and advanced to their third consecutive NCAA tournament.

Nevada is led by two-time WAC Coach of the Year Mark Fox and two-time WAC Player of the Year Nick Fazekas.  Fazekas led the WAC in scoring last season with 21.8 points per game and was second in rebounds with 10.4 per contest.  Only Utah's Keith Van Horn has ever earned the WAC's Player of the Year award three times.

Starters Marcelus Kemp, Kyle Shiloh and Ramon Sessions also return for the Pack who were voted to repeat as WAC champions by both the conference coaches and media in preseason polls released earlier this month.

New Mexico State also received a vote in the coaches' top 25 poll.  The first AP poll is expected to be released on Nov. 6.
