DENVER ? New Mexico State’s Matt Edwards has been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Month for November.
Edwards, a junior from Las Vegas, Nevada (Coronado HS), had a third place finish in the Hawai?i Fall Intercollegiate, Nov. 6-8. The tournament was played at the par 72 Kane?ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane?ohe, Hawaii. Edwards was under par in each round, shooting a 5-under 211 (71-69-71), finishing five strokes behind the leaders. He helped New Mexico State to a second place tie in the 15-team field that included five WAC teams.
Others nominated: Nick Travers, Boise State; and Matthew Ryan, Fresno State.
The fall season has come to an end for the WAC’s teams.
