DENVER ? The University of Nevada women’s soccer team will face Stanford in the opening round of the NCAA Soccer Tournament on Friday, Nov. 10 at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara. The Wolf Pack will play the second game of a double-header, with kickoff tentatively set for 7:00 p.m.
The Wolf Pack earned the WAC’s automatic bid with a shootout win over Fresno State in the WAC Tournament on Nov. 5. This will be the first meeting between the Cardinal and the Wolf Pack. Santa Clara will host the first and second rounds, with the Stanford-Nevada winner playing the Santa Clara-USC winner on Sunday, Nov. 12.
Nevada is one of 10 teams making its first appearance in the tournament, including: Columbia University, Drake University, Grambling State University, University of Louisville, McNeese State University, Niagara University, Old Dominion University, Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Toledo.
The 25th annual NCAA Division I Women’s College Cup will be played Dec. 1 and 3 at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. North Carolina State University, the Town of Cary, and the Capital Area Soccer League will serve as hosts.
