DENVER ? Northern Arizona University’s Natalie Hughes has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week.
Hughes, a junior from St. Clair, Mich. (St. Clair HS), helped NAU win a tri-dual meet versus New Mexico State and Boise State in Flagstaff, Ariz. this past weekend. Hughes won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events with season-best marks of 284.60 and 317.00 points, respectively. Hughes’ 3-meter score is a career best, the second-best in NAU history, and leads the WAC in 3-meter performances this season.
Others nominated included Nevada freshman Margaret Doolittle; and New Mexico State freshman Meghann Percy.
