DELAET WINS THUNDERBIRD INVITE ?“ In the first tournament of the spring, Boise State senior Graham DeLaet picked up right where he left off in the fall, capturing his third individual title of the season at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational, Feb. 14. DeLaet followed an opening round and tournament-best six-under 66 at the par 72, 6,781-yard Sunbrook Golf Course with a final round two-under 70, winning the tournament by a stroke over Matt McArthur of tournament host Southern Utah.

Toyama, a sophomore from Kaneohe, Oahu, finished second at the Hawai'i-Hilo Invitational, firing scores of 69-69-65 (203). He helped the Warriors to a fourth-place finish, making a run at the individual honors with his final-round 65. He finished just one stroke behind the titleist.
Other men?™s nominees included: Ryan McDonald, Fresno State and Trey McNeill, Louisiana Tech.
