NAMPA, Idaho ?“ The Boise State men and Louisiana Tech women brough home the 2006 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field titles, Saturday in Nampa, Idaho. The Broncos registered 154 points to earn their second title in three years. The Lady Techsters gathered 131 to clear field, taking home their second title in as many years. The WAC will be awarding all-WAC teams this year, with the top three finishers taking home first-team honors, while places four, five and six are tabbed second-team all-WAC.
Individual awards were given out at the team banquet following the meet. Highlighting the awards were Co-Outstanding Performers for the men, with Boise State's Keron Francis and Johnathan Holland of Louisiana Tech bringing home the award. Francis won the heptathlon and the triple jump, while Holland brought home 60m and 200m golds. For the women, Kali Baker of Nevada was tabbed Outstanding Perfomer, winning the 800m and mile.
