DENVER ?“ Utah State?™s Clint Silcock and New Mexico State?™s Erin Streater have been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference men?™s and women?™s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively. This is the first award of the outdoor season.
Silcock, a freshman from Arco, Idaho, won the high jump at the Willie Williams Invitational at Arizona. Silcock cleared 2.10m, as he was the lone male Aggie to win an event.
Streater, a senior from Orange, Calif., led the way for the Aggies with a school record-breaking throw of 184-2 in the hammer. Her mark qualifies her for the NCAA West Regionals. Streater also won the shot put with a throw of 46-5 and finished fourth in the discus (146-8).
