DENVER ?“ Louisiana Tech?™s Tasha Williams has been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Women?™s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of March 6. This is the final Player of the Week of the 2005-06 season.
Williams, a senior from Kinglsand, Ark., averaged 8.0 points, 9.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 steals, while leading Louisiana Tech to two victories and the 2006 Western Athletic Conference title. The guard registered only the third triple-double in Louisiana Tech history by recording 10 points, 11 assists and 10 steals in a 91-52 win over Hawai'i Saturday night.
