Nate Harris Drafted in Fourth Round of the USBL

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State senior forward Nate Harris, the school's all-time leader in field goal percentage at 64.1 percent, was drafted by the Dodge City Legend in the fourth round of the 2006 United States Basketball League (USBL) Draft conducted on April 11.

Harris, who earned first-team all-Western Athletic Conference honors as a senior, finished the season ranked first in the WAC and seventh in the nation in field goal percentage at 62.1 percent. He also ranked sixth in the WAC in rebounding (7.7), seventh in scoring (17.3), seventh in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.43), and ninth in free throw shooting (.744).

Overall, Harris scored 553 points, which ranks 19th all-time at Utah State for a single-season.

Harris completed his Utah State career ranked 10th all-time in scoring (1,475), ninth all-time in rebounding (722), fourth all-time in blocked shots (90), and first all-time in wins (96).

The Northeast Pennsylvania Breakers made Syracuse guard Gerry McNamara the first overall selection in the league's 21st annual college draft.

The eight-team USBL begins play for the 2006 season on Friday, April 21, with the Legend's opener taking place on Sun., April 23 when they host the Nebraska Cranes.
