WAC PLACES FIVE IN TOP 15 AT DIXIE ?“ Nevada?™s Nicole de Gennaro and Idaho?™s Renee Skidmore both tied for seventh at the BYU Dixie Classic to lead the WAC contingent. The pair fired 230?™s (+14) in St. George, Utah. Boise State?™s Katie Street tied for 12th with a three-round total of 234 (+18), while Idaho?™s Jennifer Tucker and New Mexico State?™s Lehua Wise both shot 235 to tie for 14th. The Vandals led the WAC teams, tying for fourth.

Luethke, a sophomore from Clovis, Calif., tied for third at the Oregon Duck Invitational and led Fresno State to its sixth top-five finish of the year with an overall 222 total. Luethke, who missed the individual playoff by one shot, fired rounds of 71-74-77. The tournament marks her fourth top-10 finish of the year.

This year?™s Championship will be held April 24-26, 2006. The Golf Club at Boulder Ridge is a mountain style course, constructed on a ridge. The course is designed by Bradford Benz and opened for play September 2001. Extensive mounding on the open fairways gives this course a "linksy" feel. Water comes into play on two holes. The greens are large, averaging 6,000 square feet, and fast. Bouder Ridge plays from 5,005 to 6,923-yards and there are five sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. WAC ENTERS NEW ERA ?“ The WAC is a nine-team league with the additions of Idaho, New Mexico State and Utah State following the departures of Rice, SMU, UTEP and Tulsa.
