The Fresno State women's tetnis team captured its sixth-straight WAC Championship with a 4-0 win over No. 2 Boise State. Sophomore Melania Gloria won her second-straight Player of the Year honor, while head coach Simon Thibodeau was named WAC Coach of the Year for second-straight season.
Gloria led the Bulldogs with wins at No. 1 doubles with partner Tinesta Rowe. She also earned a win at No. 1 singles against Boise State's Bianca Jochimsen. The Bulldogs had three players earn first team all-WAC honors, Gloria, Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova, Fresno State. Kucerkova was also named WAc Freshman of the Year.
The match was clinched at No. 6 singles where Jacqueline Haskett defeated Tiffany Coll, 6-3, 6-3. Petukova won the other singles match with a win over Boise State's Jana Mackova, 6-2, 6-2.
