Fresno State continues its quest for its sixth-straight WAC Women's Tennis title by defeating Idaho, 4-0 in the semifinals on Friday at the Apple ton Tennus Courts. For the second-straight season, the Bulldogs will face Boise State in the title match. The last time Fresno State did not win a title was the 2001 WAC Championship in Fresno where the Bulldogs lost in the finals to TCU.
Idaho ends a promising season with a 16-9 record. No. 16 Fresno State moves to 19-3 with the win.
The Bulldogs started the match with dominating doubles performances. Anastasia Petukhova and Renata Kucerkova defeated Idaho's Efrat Leopold and Lauren Drew at No. 2 doubles, 8-0. At the No. 3 spot Vanessa Heroux and Danon Beatty won by the same score.
