The Nevada men’s golf team is competing in the 2007 NCAA West Regional May 17-19 at the par 72, 7,057-yard ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe. Arizona State is hosting the 27-team tournament. The top 10 teams and top two individuals from the Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships May 30-June 2 in Williamsburg, Va. The Wolf Pack received an automatic bid for the West Regional after winning the 2007 WAC men’s golf championship. Nevada’s Rich Merritt was named WAC Coach of the Year and Taylor Coffman received WAC Freshman of the Year and WAC Player of the Year honors.
The Wolf Pack is making its second consecutive NCAA West Regional appearance after tying for ninth and advancing to the NCAA Championships in 2006. Live scoring will be available throughout the regional by clicking on the above link.
