All seven seeds are set for the WAC Softball Tournament that will be played May 9-12 in Fresno, Calif. For the first time, Hawai`i will be the top seed in the double eliminiation tournament. Host school Fresno State is the second seed followed by New Mexico State. Defending champion, Nevada is the fourth seed in the tournament.
San Jose State is the fifth seed, while Utah State advances to its first WAC Tournament as the sixth seed. Louisiana Tech is the seventh seed and will take on Utah State in the first game of the tournament on Wednesday, May 9.
The Wolf Pack was also the fourth seed last season when they became lowest seeded team to win a WAC Softball Tournament. Behind the stellar pitching of MVP Jordan McPherson, Nevada won the tournament which was also held at Bulldog Diamond in Fresno.
