FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Kaitlyn Revel was honored by Soccer Buzz Magazine and named to the National Elite Team of the week for her contribution in the goal last weekend. This is the first time the sophomore goalkeeper has been awarded this honor.
"It is a great honor for Kaitlyn and our program having her named to the Soccer Buzz National Elite Team for the week," said coach Steve Springthorpe. "Our team has defended much better the last few weeks and Kaitlyn has done a great job of helping our back line get shutouts this past weekend. We would like to thank Soccer Buzz for naming her to the team."
Revel recorded two shutouts in the opening weekend of conference play and has six shutouts on the season. She also recorded a combined 18 saves against San Jose State and Hawaii. Revel earned an assist in the San Jose State game.
The Elite Feet team is made up of players from across the nation who have performed well or had a great contribution to their team's success.
