Crow each recorded double-doubles for San Jose
State as the Spartans swept Boise State,
25-11, 25-19, 25-17, Thursday.
Amian led the Spartans with 16 kills and added
11 digs for her first double-double of the season and the second of her
career. She also had a team-best three service aces. Crow added 12 kills
and tied her career high with 19 digs for her fifth double-double of the
season. Emily
Burke recorded 37 assists on the night.
Sadie Maughan led the Broncos with seven kills.
The Spartans hit .349 for the match with 49
kills on 109 attempts and only 11 errors. San Jose State
did not commit a hitting error in the first set and had just three errors in
the second set.
MOSCOW, Idaho ? Idaho
defeated Utah State 3-1 (22-25, 25-8, 26-24, 25-16) in
WAC action Thursday for its fourth-straight victory.
After
Utah State
(5-12, 3-3) rallied to take the first set, Idaho (11-6, 4-2) rebounded to dominate set
two. The Vandals then rallied from a 24-21 set point deficit to take game three
and strung together two separate runs of five-consecutive points in the fourth
set to take the match.
It
was just the second time the Vandals have held an opponent under 10 points in a
set since rally scoring was instituted in 2001 and the first time since 2004. Idaho joins Fresno
State and Hawai`i as the only teams in the WAC to hold
an opponent to single-digits this season.
Idaho held the Aggies to a
.068 hitting percentage and held an
18.0-6.0 advantage in blocks.
Haley
Larsen had 21 kills on .381 hitting while also totaling nine digs and a
season-high four blocks. Anna McKinney added nine kills on .389 hitting while
adding 10 blocks. Kelsey James tallied 41 assists while Sarah Loney and Kelsey
Yonker each finished with 10 digs. Debbie Pederson also chipped in eight
blocks.
Melissa
Osterloh paced Utah
State with 13 kills,
while Christine Morrill totaled 1 digs.
