HONOLULU, Hawai?i ? No. 3 Idaho cruised to a three-set sweep (25-20, 25-21, 25-18) of No. 6 Nevada in the quarterfinals of the WAC Volleyball Tournament Thursday. The Vandals advance to face the winner of the Hawai?i/BoiseState match.
Idaho out-hit the Wolf Pack .250 to .164. The Vandals also bettered Nevada in kills (42-39), assists (40-35), service aces (5-2) and blocks (9-7.5). The Wolf Pack edged Idaho in digs, 48-47.
Sarah Conwell led Idaho with 12 kills on .375 hitting, while Haley Larsen added 10 kills. Setter Kelsey James dished out 37 assists.
Nevada was paced by Allison Hernandez with 13 kills, Nicole Link with 15 digs and Sonnie Sei with 27 assists.
