MOSCOW, Idaho ? No. 7 Hawai?i (21-3, 14-1 WAC) swept through Idaho (16-9, 9-5) 25-17, 25-13, 25-21 at Memorial Gym Saturday, posting its seventh road sweep in as many matches this season.

The Vandals committed 22 hitting errors and seven service errors in the match. As a team, Idaho hit .078 hitting percentage to finish under .100 for just the second time this season. Hawai?i held a 55-44 advantage in digs and an 11-5 margin in blocks.

Amber Kaufman led all players with 11 kills and five blocks while hitting .381. Kanani Danielson added a double-double with 10 kills, 12 digs and a .345 hitting percentage. Aneli Cubi-Otineru had eight kills, 11 digs and four blocks while Tara Hittle posted 12 digs from the libero spot. Dani Mafua set the UH attack, posting 37 assists, three kills and four digs.

Haley Larsen led the Idaho offense with nine kills and Sarah Conwell added seven kills. Kelsey James finished with 28 assists and Kelsey Yonker tallied 12 digs.


FRESNO, Calif. ? New Mexico State (19-7, 13-1 WAC) beat Fresno State (6-16, 3-10) 3-1 (19-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-18) at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., Saturday, Nov. 8.

Amber Simpson finished with 15 kills on 22 attempts for a .682 hitting percentage. She also added three service aces, four digs and four total blocks. Lindsey Yon added 14 kills, two aces and eight digs, while Krista Altermatt had a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs. Krystal Torres had a match-high 21 digs

Baylee Platt led the `Dogs with 14 kills. Kasey Van Grouw led the defense with 11 digs.


SAN JOSE, Calif. ? On Senior Day, the San Jose State seniors proved to be the difference as the Spartans defeated Nevada 25-15, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, Saturday.

SJSU hit .265 in the match and the Pack .211.  Both teams had three blocks.

For the fourth consecutive match, Kelly Crow recorded a double-double with team-bests of 23 kills and 18 digs.  Her 23 kills mark the third time this season she has recorded 20 or more kills.   Her 18 digs are the second-highest total this year. Colleen Burke hit a team-best .464 with a season-best 14 kills. Nia Freeman hit .409 with 10 kills, while Brittany Collet recorded her second double-double of the week with 45 assists and 13 digs.

Kylie Harrington led Nevada with a career-high 21 kills and added 13 digs to post her team leading eighth double-double of the season. Nicole Link finished with a match-high 21 digs and Tatiana Santiago dished out 42 assists in the loss.


BOISE, Idaho ? Boise State improved to 8-17 on the season with a sweep (25-22, 25-12, 25-22) of Louisiana Tech at Bronco Gym Saturday.

The Broncos hit .356 overall, recording 50 kills and seven team blocks. Boise State also had five service aces and 41 digs in the win. Louisiana Tech had 29 kills and a .138 hitting percentage. Defensively they added 30 digs and three team blocks while recording three ace serves.

Jeanette Jenkins recorded a match-high 17 kills on .375 hitting. Alisha King added 16 kills and a .452 percentage to lead the Broncos. Lauren Hamm had a match-high of 16 digs, while Mandy Klein tallied 36 assists.

For the Lady Techsters, Kara Jones led the offensive efforts with eight kills and a .412 hitting percentage.
