No. 7-seed Hawai?i (30-3) will face 10th-seeded Purdue (26-8) in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament at 5 p.m. MT Friday, Dec. 12., at Moby Arena on the campus of Colorado State.
UH is making its 16th straight
appearance in the NCAA Tournament and has appeared in the Sweet 16 in 10 of the last 11 seasons. Hawai?i has won its last 17 matches, including 14 via
sweep.
The Boilermakers are making their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and
third Sweet 16 appearance in the last four seasons. The
team's 26 overall victories are the most since 1985 (34-4). The Boilermakers are on a five-match win streak.
Also in the Fort Collins Regional are No. 2 Stanford (28-3) and No. 11 Florida (27-3),
who play in the other regional semifinal at 7 p.m. The winners of the two matches face off at 7 p.m. Saturday in a match that will be televised live on ESPNU.
