LOGAN, Utah ? Nevada won its third straight WAC game to remain undefeated in WAC play, beating Utah State 56-49 Wednesday night.
With the win Nevada improves to 9-7 overall (3-0 WAC) while Utah State falls to 7-10 overall (1-3 WAC). This is the second consecutive season that the Pack has opened WAC play.
The Pack shot 42 percent (22-of-52) from the field on the game, compared to the 33 percent (17-of-51) of the Aggies. Nevada also out-rebounded Utah State 39-28.
Dellena Criner led Nevada with 22 points, while Shavon Moore added 12. Brandi Jones and Cherlanda Franklin pulled down a team-high nine rebounds each.
Danyelle Snelgro and Ana Pares paced Utah State with 11 points apiece. Snelgro also nabbed six steals.
