Fresno State, Nevada Ranked in NFCA Preseason Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Two WAC teams, Fresno State and Nevada, have been selected to the preseason Top 25 by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). The Bulldogs are ranked No. 14, while the Wolf Pack came in at No. 23. Meanwhile, Hawai'i and Louisiana Tech received votes in the poll.

Fresno State has been ranked for 26 consecutive seasons and in 240 out of the 266 weekly polls. This is the highest preseason ranking for the Bulldogs since they received a No. 9 ranking in 2001. In 2008, Fresno State reached as high as No. 10, its highest in-season ranking since 2002.

This is Nevada's first-ever preseason ranking. The Wolf Pack finished 2008 ranked No. 20 by USA Softball and No. 21 by the NFCA.
