Nevada 77, Boise State 45
RENO, Nev. ? Nevada made history Friday afternoon when it moved to 6-0 in conference play after a 77-45 win over Boise State. Nevada remains undefeated and in first place in the WAC, while Boise State falls to 11-10 overall and 4-3 in WAC play.
Nevada’s 6-0 start in conference play marks the first time in program history the Pack has opened a conference season 6-0. Nevada’s six game winning streak also marks its first six-game win streak since the 1986-87 season.
The Wolf Pack shot a season-high 48 percent (27-of-56) from the floor, while Boise State shot 29 percent (16-of-55). Nevada also out-rebounded Boise State 40-38.
Dellena Criner led three Nevada players in double figures with 20 points. Johnna Ward finished with 14 points and Brandi Jones added 11. Cherlanda Franklin finished with nine points and nine rebounds while Marissa Hammond added a career-high eight rebounds.
Marisa Stotler paced the Broncos with 12 points.
Hawai?i 63, Utah State 61

LOGAN, Utah ? Megan Tinnin made a layup with 17.5 seconds left in the game to give Hawai`i a 63-61 victory over Utah State Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The victory snaps the Rainbow Wahine’s (4-16, 1-6) eight-game losing streak and gives them their first road win and WAC win of the year. Utah State falls to 10-11 overall and 4-4 in the WAC.
UH shot 44 percent from the field, while Utah State shot 46 percent. The Rainbow Wahine also committed 15 turnovers to the Aggies' seven. The Rainbow Wahine won the rebounding battle, 40-31.
Tinnin led the way with a season-high 22 points on 8-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from long range. Dita Liepkalne added 10 points and five rebounds and Keisha Kanekoa added seven points and seven rebounds.
Danyelle Snelgro led USU with 16 points to go along with six assists and four steals, while Ana Pares tossed in 10 points. Alice Coddington led USU with seven rebounds and a career-high-tying four steals.
Louisiana Tech 77, New Mexico State 51

RUSTON, La. ? Whitney Jones scored a game-high 22 points to lead Louisiana Tech to a 77-51 win over New Mexico State in Friday night at the Thomas Assembly Center. With the win, the Techsters improve to 11-10 overall and 4-3 in WAC play. NMSU falls to 6-15 overall and 2-5 in the WAC.
Tech shot 41 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range, while the Aggies managed just 29 percent from the field and eight percent from downtown. Louisiana Tech also out-rebounded NMSU 47-44.
Shanavia Dowdell and Adrienne Johnson added 14 points apiece for LA Tech.
Danisha Corbett led New Mexico State with 13 points, followed by Madison Spence with 12 and Kaitlyn Soto with 10.
Fresno State 73, San Jose State 44
FRESNO, Calif. ? After trailing early, Fresno State took the lead at the 15:56 mark of the first half and never looked back, defeating San Jose State 73-44 Friday at the Save Mart Center. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 14-6 overall and 5-2 in the WAC. The Spartans fall to 2-18 overall and 1-6 in WAC play.
Fresno State shot 44 percent (24-of-55) from the field, 44 percent (8-of-18) from three-point range and 81 percent (17-of-21) from the free throw line on the game. San Jose State connected on 28 percent (16-of-57) from the field, 20 percent (3-of-15) from downtown and 69 percent (9-of-13) from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs also out-rebounded the Spartans 43-34.
HAyley Munro led all players with 22 points, while Jaleesa Ross and Bailey Amundsen added 15 and 12, respectively.
Chasity Shavers led SJSU with 18 points, while Shaunna Ridge grabbed 10 boards.
