Complete Men's NCAA Championship Results
TERRA HAUTE, Ind. - Utah State sophomore Brian McKenna ran well at the NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Indiana State Monday, finishing the 10k course in 30:36.8, tabbing 69th place out of 250 runners. McKenna was the WAC's lone representative at the event.
McKenna earned the automatic spot to run at the championships after his performance at the Mountain Regional race and competed in championship race as the only Utah State Runner.
The National Champion was Liberty's Samuel Chelanga, who clocked in at 28:41.3. Oklahoma State won the NCAA Championship team title with 127 points followed by Oregon with 143 points. In third place was Alabama with 173 points.
McKenna concludes action for the Aggie cross country team. The team will resume action in fall 2010. McKenna and many of the cross country runners will continue action in spring 2010 with distance events in indoor track followed by outdoor track.
