New Mexico State 3, Boise State 0
New Mexico State picked up a sweep (25-16, 25-23, 25-12) of Boise State in the Pan American Center, Thursday. With the win, the Aggies go to 15-8 overall and 10-3 in WAC play, while the Broncos fall to 5-19 overall and 5-7 in the WAC.

The Aggies posted a season-high .356 hitting percentage, while holding the Broncos to a .109 hitting percentage.  NM State also out-blocked BSU 10-3 with senior Erin Birmingham leading the way with four total blocks.

Kayleigh Giddens tallied a match-high 15 kills and Kelsi Phillips posted a match-high 14 digs. Jennah DeVries dished out a match-high 31 assists

Alisha Young led Boise State with nine kills, while Jeanene Rose had a team-high 12 digs.


Idaho 3, Louisiana Tech 1
Idaho began its final road trip of the regular season with a four-set (25-19, 22-25, 25-16,  25-16) road win at Louisiana Tech in WAC action Thursday. With the win, the Vandals' sixth in a row, Idaho improves to 13-12 overall and 9-3 in WAC play, while Louisiana Tech falls to 14-15 overall and 4-9 in the WAC with the loss.

As a team, the Vandals totaled 50 kills with a .228 hitting percentage while holding the Lady Techsters to 41 kills and a .051 hitting percentage. Idaho committed 14 service errors, but held the advantage in digs at 74-72 and blocks at 15.5-5. The Vandals raised their nation-leading blocks per set average to 3.14.

Sarah Conwell tallied her league-leading 13th double-double of the season with 18 kills and 10 digs, while Cassie Hamilton earned her first career double-double with a season-high 17 kills and 11 digs. Meredith Rice paced the defense with 23 digs and Jenny Feicht added a double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs.

KC Clayton paced the Techsters with 12 kills, while Kasia Pinto posted her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills and 19 digs. She led a group of four Louisiana Tech players in double-digit digs.


Utah State 3, San Jose State 1

Christine Morrill tied her career-high with 29 digs and Liz McArthur had a match-high 20 kills to lead Utah State to a four-set win (25-20, 27-25, 22-25, 25-23) over San Jose State Thursday night.

Utah State, which has now won six straight regular season matches against the Spartans, improves to 14-12 on the season and 5-8 in WAC play with the win, while San Jose State falls to 1-22 overall and 1-11 in the league with the loss.

Utah State hit .229 on the match, while the Spartans had a .210 hitting percentage. USU had two more team blocks (7-5) and one more dig (60-59) in the match, while SJSU had six more service errors (13-7). Both teams finished the contest with 10 service aces.

Morrill had a three service aces to go along with her career-high tying 29 digs, while McArthur hit .304 and added eight assists. Shantell Durrant hit .538 and finished the match with seven kills.

Kylie Miraldi had 15 kills to lead San Jose State, while Sarah McAtee had 10 kills.


UNLV 3, Nevada 0
Nevada fell in three sets to instate rival UNLV by scores of 25-27, 22-25 and 20-25 in a nonconference match at the Virginia Street Gym Thursday.  With the loss the Wolf Pack are now 8-17 on the season while the Rebels improved to 7-14.

Kylie Harrington and Lindsay Baldwin led the Pack with 11 and 10 kills, respectively.  Sonnie Sei finished with 34 assists and Nicole Link had 14 digs.  Sei dished out her 1600th assist in the match and now currently ranks ninth in school history with 1,618.

Nevada hit .269 in the match compared to .336 for UNLV.  The Pack won the blocking battled 7-4.  Baldwin topped Nevada with four blocks and Erin Greenwood had two for the Rebels.
