Q: When and why did you start to play basketball?
I started playing when I was in the third grade. I was always playing basketball with the boys at PE and one day I told my mom that I wanted to go and play at the boys and girls club.

Q: What other sports did you play growing up?
My freshman year of high school my basketball coach talked me into playing softball for one year.

Q: What has been your most rewarding experience off the court?
Overcoming being homesick my freshman season.

Q: Why did you choose to choose to attend Louisiana Tech?
I chose LA Tech because of the great history of the women's basketball program and I also liked the fact they were on the quarter system.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
Being able to compete on an all-boys team.

Q: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far as a student-athlete?
Being looked at as a leader by my teammates this year although I'm only a sophomore.

Q: What do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
I would like to break the school's all-time assist record.

Q: What's on your iPod?
I don't have one.

Q: What do you like to do when you are away from the court?
I love calling my little nephews and talking to them on the phone.

Q: If you had to live on a desert island for a year and could only take three items with you, what would you take?
My sponge bob blanket because it keeps me warm 24/7. My tooth brush to keep my teeth clean. Soap to bathe.

Wake up, eat breakfast, listen to RB

Q: What are your expectations for your team this season?
Play hard for 40 minutes of every game.

Law and Order SVU

Q: Who has had the most influence on your life?
My mom and nephews because they are always there for me. They keep me smiling.

Q: What are your plans following graduation?
I want to become a professional trainer or one day coach for Coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Play with a sense of urgency
