DENVER - Nevada's Jared Becher has been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for February 2-8.
Becher, a junior from Reno, Nev. (Reno HS), finished in a tie for sixth place at the Arizona Intercollegiate played at the Arizona National Golf Course in Tucson, Feb. 2-3. Becher posted a two-under 211 (73-71-67) for the three rounds. His 67 in the final round was a season-low and just one stroke off of his career best. It was Becher's third top-10 finish of the year.
The other men's nomination was Fresno State junior Grant Doverspike.
