Boise State Broncos (15-12, 8-5 WAC)
The Broncos went 1-1 in a pair of close games last week, falling to Utah State (65-61) before edging Nevada (65-64) ... Brittany Moore led the team in scoring, recording 17 points against Utah State and 14 vs. Nevada ... Boise State is in a three-way tie with Idaho and Nevada for third place in the WAC standings ... Even though she didn’t play last weekend, Marisa Stotler leads Boise State in scoring and ranks second in rebounding with 9.6 and 6.0 per game, respectively ... Boise State makes its last regular-season road trip of the season this weekend, playing at San Jose State on Friday and at Hawai?i on Sunday.
Fresno State Bulldogs (18-7, 9-3 WAC)
The Bulldogs were idle last week ... Fresno State’s last 12 wins have been by an average of 21.8 points a game ... The Bulldogs have 10 or more three-pointers in 14 of 25 games this season ... Fresno State’s 18-7 start is the second-best start in school history through 25 games ... Jaleesa Ross has hit 161 three-pointers in her short career, good for fourth place all-time at Fresno State, and 27 away from third place ... Fresno State has out-rebounded its opponents by 10 or more in nine games, all of which were wins, and is 14-1 this season when out-rebounding opponents ... The Bulldogs host Nevada on Friday in their only game this week.
Hawai?i Rainbow Wahine (6-20, 3-10 WAC)
The Rainbow Wahine went 1-1 last week, defeating New Mexico State (54-51) before falling to Louisiana Tech (89-71) ... In the win over the Aggies, Allie Patterson scored a game-high 16 points off the bench, while Keisha Kanekoa finished with 12 points ... It was the third time this season that Hawai?i has played the same opponent in consecutive games and won the second of the two games ... Megan Tinnin had 17 points against Louisiana Tech ... UH has shot 40 percent or better from the field in five of its last seven games and has out-rebounded its opponent in seven of its last eight games ... The Rainbow Wahine host Idaho on Friday and Boise State on Sunday.
Idaho Vandals (11-13, 8-5 WAC)
The Vandals went 0-2 last week, falling at Nevada (69-53) and at Utah State (70-64) in double overtime ... Yinka Olorunnife posted double-doubles in both games (10 points and 10 rebounds at Nevada, 18 points and 14 rebounds at Utah State) ... In three previous WAC seasons, Idaho had a combined 11 conference wins. This season, the Vandals already have eight wins with three games left ... Olorunnife, who has three double-digit rebounding performances in the last four games, is 11 rebounds shy of Idaho’s all-time single-season record (277). If she achieves 300 rebounds this season, she’ll be the first Vandal to do so and just the 10th WAC player ever to do so ... Idaho plays at Hawai?i on Friday in its only game this week.
Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (16-11, 9-4 WAC)
The Techsters went 2-0 last week, defeating San Jose State (87-69) and Hawai?i (89-71) ... Over the two games, Adrienne Johnson averaged 22.5 points on 64 percent shooting to go with 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks ... Shanavia Dowdell’s streak of 19 games in double-digit scoring came to an end at Hawai?i, when she finished with seven ... Dowdell and Johnson are currently first and second in the WAC in scoring at 15.1 and 15.0 points per game, respectively ... Tech is currently in second place in the WAC standings ... The Techsters host Utah State on Saturday for their final regular-season home game of the season.
Nevada Wolf Pack (14-12, 8-5 WAC)
The Pack went 1-1 last week, defeating Idaho (69-53) at home before falling at Boise State (75-74) ... Johnna Ward scored a season-high 19 points at Boise State, while Shavon Moore scored a career-high 16 ... Nevada had three players score in double figures in both games ... The Wolf Pack raised $2,794 for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund in Nevada’s “Pack it With Pink” night vs. Idaho as head coaches Jane Albright and Mark Fox each donated $1 per fan in attendance to the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund ... Nevada out-rebounded Idaho by 20 (43-23) ... Nevada plays at Fresno State on Friday in its only game this week.
New Mexico State Aggies (9-18, 5-8 WAC)
The Aggies went 1-1 last week, falling at Hawai?i (54-51) before defeating San Jose State (64-50) ... The win at SJSU was NMSU’s first road win of the season ... The Aggies won the battle on the boards for just the second time in the last 10 games, out-rebounding SJSU 34-30 and forcing 22 SJSU turnovers ... Tabytha Wampler led New Mexico State with 13 points, while Madison Spence added 12 points ... NMSU has held each of its last five opponents under 60 points ... The Aggies have shot 40 percent or greater in six of their last seven halves ... NMSU has won three of its last four games ... NMSU hosts Utah State on Thursday in its only game this week.
San Jose Spartans (2-25, 1-13 WAC)
The Spartans went 0-2 at home last week, falling to Louisiana Tech (87-69) and New Mexico State (64-50) ... The 69 points in the loss to the Lady Techsters was SJSU’s highest scoring output of the season ... Natalie White moved from 10th to eighth on the SJSU all-time scoring chart last Friday night with her 22 points vs. Louisiana Tech. She has 1,203 career points, 23 away from seventh place ... Shaunna Ridge has 50 blocks this season, eight off the SJSU single season record. Ridge is only the second player to record 50 or more blocks in a season in more than 20 years ... The Spartans host Louisiana Tech on Friday and New Mexico State on Sunday.
Utah State Aggies (13-12, 7-5 WAC)
The Aggies went 2-0 last week, defeating Boise State (70-64) and Idaho (70-64) in double overtime ... In win over the Broncos, the Aggies recovered from an 18-point deficit ... Danyelle Snelgro scored 17 points and added six assists ... Snelgro was one point shy of her career high vs. the Vandals,, finishing with 28 points ... Alice Coddington added a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds ... The Idaho win gave head coach Raegan Pebley her 55th win at Utah State, which is tied with Fern Gardner for the most in Aggie history ... The 13 wins is the most since the 2004-05 team went 14-14 ... The Aggies play at New Mexico State on Thursday and at Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
