Fresno State 69, New Mexico State 52

FRESNO, Calif. ? Fresno State defeated New Mexico State 69-52 Wednesday evening at the Save Mart Center. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 20-8 overall and in a tie for first place in the WAC with an 11-4 mark. New Mexico State drops to 9-20 overall and 5-10 in the WAC.

The 20 wins is the program's ninth 20-win season in the 44-year history of the program and the Bulldogs can win at least a share of the WAC regular-season title with a win at Utah State on Saturday.

The Bulldogs shot 42 percent from the field and held the Aggies to 34 percent shooting. Fresno State also out-rebounded New Mexico State 40-36. Fresno State set new school records for three-pointers made and attempted. The Bulldogs are 272-of-775 (351) from beyond the arc, breaking last year's records of 262-for-762.

Jaleesa Ross led the Bulldogs with 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field. She hit 5-of-6 three-pointers and tied a season-high of five steals. Bailey Amundsen scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.

Tyshae Walton led NMSU with 16 points, followed by Danisha Corbett and Brittany Palmer with 12 and 11 points, respectively.


Nevada 57, Idaho 39

MOSCOW, Idaho ? Shavon Moore recorded her third career double-double Nevada team beat Idaho 57-39 Wednesday night. With the win, Nevada improves to 15-13 overall and 9-6 in the WAC. Idaho falls to 12-14 overall and 9-6 in WAC play.

The 39 points was the fewest points by a Nevada opponent all season. As a team Nevada shot 41 percent (22-of-54) from the floor, while Idaho shot just 26 percent (14-of-53). The Wolf Pack also dominated the boards, 49-30.

Moore and Dellena Criner each scored 11 points for Nevada, while Moore added a career-high 12 rebounds. Cherlanda Franklin, who entered the game with 199 career steals, recorded one steal to become the first forward in program history to record at least 200 career steals.  She is the fourth player to record at least 200 career steals.

Yinka Oloruniffe paced the Vandals with 14 points and six rebounds.
