The 19th annual Western Athletic Conference women's golf championship is April 20-22 at the 6,133-yard, par-72 Wolf Run Golf Club in Reno, Nevada. Fresno State is the defending champion after placing four players in the top-13 in last year's championship in Fresno. Last year's individual champion, Laura Luethke of Fresno State, is gone, but the 2007 champion is back this year in San Jose State's Erica Moston who is currently ranked eighth in the nation by Golfstat. Moston has won the last two regular season individual titles of the tournaments San Jose State has competed in and the Spartans have won four straight team titles. Moston has averaged a WAC-best 71.41 strokes per round during the 2008-09 season.
