Eighth-seeded San Jose State defeated ninth-seeded Louisiana Tech in the first match of the tournament. The match, originally scheduled for 9:00 a.m., was postponed due to early morning rain showers. Amber Silverstone set the tone for San Jose State after her, 6-0, 6-0, sweep of Louisiana Tech's Ashley Wedderburn in the No. 1 position. In the No. 2 position, Olivia Marshall took down LTU's Ada Makowska in a, 6-2, 6-0, defeat. Tournament officials decided not to play the doubles portion of the match due to time contraints and possible inclement weather. With the win, the Spartans move on to the quarterfinal round where they will meet top-seeded Fresno State later today. The match is scheduled for an on-time first serve at 3:00 p.m.

The Broncos captured the doubles point early as Pichittra Thongdach and Lauren Megale took care of business at the No. 1 position with a 8-0 victory over the Aggies' Hailey Swenson and Bridgette Strickland. Boise State freshman Vivien Silfany and Megale both won their matches in convincing fashion at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively. Silfany posted a, 6-0, 6-0, win over USU's Monica Abella, while Megale defeated Strickland, 6-1, 6-1. Senior Klaudia Wlodarczyk also garnered a, 6-0, 6-0 victory. The Broncos now move on to the semifinals and wait for the winner of No. 3 Nevada and No. 6 Idaho. The semifinal match is slated for noon on Friday.

Senior Caroline Bailly established her dominance in the No. 1 position after a, 6-0, 6-0, win over Idaho's top player, Maria Perevoshchikova. Nevada then won both the No. 2 and No. 3 singles points to close out the match, 4-0. Sophomore Florence De Vrye earned a victory over UI's Silvia Irimescu, 6-2, 6-0. To close out the match, junior Maria Mizyuk defeated Daniela Cohen on the No. 3 court, 6-2, 6-1. The No. 66th-ranked Wolf Pack will face No. 36th-ranked Boise State in the first semifinal match scheduled for Friday. First serve in that match is scheduled for noon.

UH claimed the doubles point in thrilling fashion as the teams split the first two matches. Anja-Vanessa Peter and Melinda Wong took down Laura Boguet and Natalia Salum Soto, 8-5, on court No. 3, while the Aggies claimed court No. 1 with a 8-5 win by Stephanie Eusebe and Isabella Kulaif over Aglae Van den Bergh and Sophie Kobuch. The tandem of Alyssa Nafarrete and Ellen Linsenbolz clinched the point by holding off Sophia Marks and Aleksa Costa, 8-6, at the No. 2 position. The Rainbow Wahine got a dominating 6-0, 6-0 win by Kobuch over Boguet at the No. 2 court to start singles play off. Peter notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Eusebe at the No. 3 court and Wong clinched UH’s win with a 6-4, 6-2 decision over Salum Soto at the No. 5 court. New Mexico State’s lone point came at the No. 6 position as Kulaif defeated Nafarrette, 7-5, 6-0. Hawai`i will now get set to play top-seeded Fresno State on Friday, at 3:00 p.m.
