Norman, Okla. ? NM State men’s golfer Travis Reid was named to the Division I PING all-West Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America late Monday afternoon. Reid helped the Aggies to their third WAC Championship in four years in 2008-09, while winning the individual WAC title. This is Reid’s second straight all-Region honor.
On the season, Reid led the Aggies with a 72.49 strokes per round average, including 18 rounds under par, finishing in the top-10 seven times and the top-5 four times. In addition to winning the WAC Championship, Reid also won the 2008 Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate and helped his team to seven top-5 finishes as a team. Reid was also named an all-WAC first team selection in 2008-09.
