Q: When and why did you start to play volleyball?
A: I started playing when I was in 9th grade because I thought I should use my height for good and wanted to play a more physical sport.

Q: What other sports did you play growing up?
A: I ran track for three years in high school and played basketball for two.

Q: What has been your most rewarding experience off the court?
A: The experience of going to Chile and Argentina was amazing. The volleyball was great; there was great competition. But just the chance to go and see how other people live and interact with the fans after the game was amazing.

Q: Why did you choose to attend the University of Nevada?
A: I chose Nevada because I wanted to get away from the east coast for a little bit. When I took my first visit here, they were honest and fun and the campus is beautiful. They have really nice facilities and people are always willing to help. It just seemed like a great fit.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Anything that involves my brother Cory. We were partners in crime and we always did stuff together.

Q: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far as a student-athlete?
A: I would say my greatest accomplishment would be becoming a starter after my redshirt freshman year.

Q: What do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
A: Personally, I hope to make the all-WAC team. As for my team, I want us to win a WAC championship and go to the NCAA.

Q: What's on your iPod?
A: Well I listen to a lot of different things but right now I have some Jay-z and believe it or not country 

Q: What do you like to do when you are away from the court?
A: Whenever I'm not playing volleyball or doing stuff for school, I just relax. I can lay in front of the TV for hours. Either that or laying out and having fun with my friends.

Q: If you had to live on a desert island for a year and could only take three items with you, what would you take?
A: My iPhone, cable TV, and my crock pot to make pot roast

Q: Name your favorite class...
A: My favorite class so far either has to be math 176 (business calc) or econ 261 (stats).

Q: What is your game day routine?
A: Relax before the game, talk to my parents, get to the locker room early and have a dance party with my team.

Q: What are your expectations for your team this season?
A: We all have very high expectations for the team this year. We only lost one senior and everyone else has been playing together now for a few years. We know each other's personalities. We have set our goals high this year because we know we can attain them if we work really hard at it. We are hungry for wins and want to be seen as a force in the WAC.

Q: What is your favorite television show?
A: I love Project Runway, House, Seinfeld, and my whole team can tell you about how much I LOVE Family Guy.

Q: Who has had the most influence on your life?
A: My entire family has had the most influence on my life. Without them and their support I would not be where I am today. They have shown me how to be strong and are examples of where hard work will get you.

Q: What are your plans following graduation?
A: Either get an internship in Nevada or go back home and work for the govt.

Q: What is the best advice you have received?
A: The choices you make will dictate the course of your life.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
A: I watch a lot of different sports and don't have a favorite, but I always cheer for Serena Williams whenever she plays.

Q: If Hollywood were to make a movie about your life, which actress would play your role?
A: Anyone who can embody my spunky, funny personality!

Q: If you were to win a million dollars what would be your first purchase?
A: A new car!

Q: Describe the perfect meal...
A: POT ROAST!!!
