DENVER – Hawai‘i’s Britta Bourne and Boise State’s Lauren Hickok have been named Western Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Sept. 21-27.
Bourne, a senior forward from Honolulu, O’ahu (Montana), scored two goals and registered an assist for five points to help Hawai‘i to a pair of wins over Detroit-Mercy. Bourne recorded the game-winning goal in the 68th minute to give the Rainbow Wahine a 1-0 victory in the team’s first match. Bourne then assisted the game-winning goal and recorded the insurance score in UH’s 2-0 win on Saturday.
