Fresno State 73, Utah State 46
The Bulldogs forced 26 turnovers and turned in a season-high 19 steals en route to a 73-46 victory over Utah State at the Save Mart Center on Saturday afternoon. Fresno State remains in first place in the WAC with a 13-5 record and 4-0 conference mark, while Utah State drops to 10-7 and 2-2 in league.

The Bulldogs shot 44 percent from the field and held Utah State to 33 percent shooting.

Emma Andrews had a season-high four steals while Joh-Teena Filipe and a career-high four steals. Jaleesa Ross led three Dogs in double figures with 17 points to go with six rebounds and three steals. Filipe had 14 points and five rebounds while Hayley Munro had 11 points.

The Aggies were led by Stacey Howard with a career-high nine points. Lydia Whitehead scored six points and added four rebounds.


Idaho 84, Boise State 81 (OT)

Idaho defeated rival Boise State in exciting fashion with an 84-81 overtime victory.

Idaho (3-13 overall, 1-2 WAC) put together one of its best performances of the season in beating the Broncos (11-6 overall, 0-3 WAC).

The Vandals shot 46 percent from the field for the game, while matching that percentage from three-point range, where they were 46. In contrast, the visiting Broncos shot 40 percent from the field and 27 percent from beyond the arc.

Yinka Olorunnife tied her career high with 25 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Bianca Cheever scored 18 for the Vandals on 5-for-9 shooting, including 4-for-6 on 3-pointers. Cheever also added seven rebounds and three assists.

The Vandals received production from the entire cast as Rachele Kloke scored 18, Shaena Kuehu had 11, and Charlotte Otero scored 10.

Janie Bos led Boise State on the night with a career-high 29 points to go with 11 rebounds to record her fourth double-double of the year. She made 12-of-20 field goals and 5-of-8 free throws. Tasha Harris was second in scoring with 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Freshman Julia Marshall followed with 11 points, five boards, one assist and two steals.

Louisiana Tech 78, New Mexico State 64

Shanavia Dowdell scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Louisiana Tech hit 14-of-18 free throws after the final officials timeout as the Lady Techsters held on to defeat New Mexico State 78-64 Saturday night at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Tech (11-4, 2-1 WAC), which led by as many as 21 points in the first half, found itself clinging to a 62-58 advantage with 3:48 to play before using a 16-6 run to end the game.

In addition to Dowdell's big night, Adrienne Johnson added 18 points and eight rebounds while Whitney Jones chipped in with 13 points and five boards. It was Dowdell's eighth double-double of the season.

Jasmine Lowe almost single handedly kept her team close, scoring 19 of her 26 points in the second half, including nine during a run that saw the Aggies pull to within four. Madison Spence scored 14 points while Crystal Boyd added 11.

Tech outrebounded the Aggies 58-41.


Nevada 80, Hawai'i 62
Nevada won its fourth straight game as the Pack downed Hawai'i 80-62 Saturday night in Honolulu in front of 1,945 fans.

With the win, Nevada improved to 10-8 overall (4-0 WAC) while Hawai'i fell to 7-9 overall (1-3 WAC).  Nevada's 4-0 start in conference play marks the second-straight year the Pack has opened WAC play 4-0.  Nevada started 7-0 in WAC play last season.

The Wolf Pack shot 48 percent from the field on the game, compared to the 33 percent of Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine won the rebounding battle, 40-35.

Tahnee Robinson led Nevada with a career-high 25 points, while Nicole Williams added a career-high 21. Shavon Moore led Nevada with nine boards.

Keisha Kanekoa paced the Rainbow Wahine with 17 points, followed by Breanna Arbuckle with 13 and Allie Patterson with 11.
